Arm lift

After very rapid weight loss, which usually occurs after bariatric surgery such as a gastric sleeve or gastric bypass, it is very common for the arms to lose so much fat and the skin to lose elasticity, leaving the appearance of wings on the arms of men or women with this problem.

Arm lift consists of removing all excess skin from the arms in order to improve their contours and reduce the discomfort of the appearance generated by having this excess skin on them.

Dissolvable stitches that do not require removal are used.

General anesthesia or spinal block with sedation

2 weeks. Requires relative rest for 6 weeks.

Arm lift is usually associated with other procedures at the same time or surgical event or in separate ones. These are usually breast lift with or without implants or torsoplasty (resection of excess skin from the back).

Women or men with excess skin on the arms secondary to weight loss by sleeve or gastric bypass.
